Find attached to this note, the abstract of the paper 'Applied Biomechanics: Footwear Industry', by INESCOP, that was lectured on June 6th in Brunel University, West London, Uxbridge, UK, during the International Conference on Orthopaedic Surgery, Biomechanics & Clinical applications (OBCAS). During the lecture, the SSHOES project was explained in the context of the modern footwear industry requirements, from the point of view of the orthopaedic shoes range of products, smart shoes, functional shoes and personalised footwear. The abstract also appeared at Vol.43, suplement 1 (June 2010) of the Journal of Biomechanics, in the article 'Abstracts of OBCAS'.

SSHOES E.S. Seminar and Anual Meeting (12M) - Includes photos [28/7/2010]

At 12th and 13th of July, DUNA hosted the Exploitation Strategy Seminar and the Annual Meeting (M12) of project SSHOES. The 11 partners of the project attended an interesting and productive Seminar about the Exploitation Strategy applicable to the project, by Mr. Mauro Caocci. On second day, each one of the Work Packages was revised, and emerging issues by partners were commented and discussed. After two intense days, the annual assembly finished with the Steering Board Meeting. Next meeting will be the M18 Review Meeting, at January 2010.

During 7th and 9th of July 2010, in Andratx-Mallorca(Spain), took place AMDO 2010, the VI edition of the International Conference on Articulated Motion and Deformable Objects. INESCOP was responsible of the tutorial "Computer Graphics Tool for Industrial Shoe Design", presenting different topics like: Foot digitasing and measuring software, Realtime position sensor, etc. Find attached some photographs of the event.

In a session presented by the Rector of "Universit� Politecnica delle Marche", nine speakers debated about the paper of Research regarding orothopaedic footwear sector. The event finish with the presentation "Il progetto europeo SShoes" by Dr. Enrique Montiel, Assistant Director of INESCOP and Project Manager of SSHOES.
