According to the Law of 22nd July 1948 and Decree of 14th April 2000, I.F.T.H is an industrial technical centre. It stems from the merger of two existing organisations: CETIH (French technical centre for the clothing industries) and ITF (French Textile Institute). Created on 1st November 2000, it takes over the whole of the missions, goods, rights and liabilities of CETIH and ITF (1st article of the decree dated 14th April 2000). I.F.T.H. is divided up into 10 sites spread out in France and employs 350 persons (mostly engineers and technicians). As a non-profit organisation, it is administrated by a board of industrialists and under the supervision of the French Ministry of Industry. IFTH has a total budget of 27 million Euros, 9 millions of which are state-subsidised. |
